Olivia Padovano

Oliva helped raise over $89,000 as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, driven by a personal connection to a young leukemia patient. This experience inspired her to major in communications and pursue a career in nonprofit work to support others in need.

Marissa embodies the spirit of community engagement and the profound impact of a cancer diagnosis on a family. Her dedication, demonstrated through years of involvement in Relay for Life events, underscores her commitment to community welfare and her fervent advocacy for education and research.

Ava Fasolas

Ava has demonstrated her generosity through her volunteering, community involvement and her commitment to social justice. She plans to attend College of the Holy Cross.

NEW PROVIDENCE HIGH SCHOOL

Maya Sternberg

Maya volunteered on the Overlook Foundation Junior Board, Save Our State Stat during the initial COVID-19 vaccine rollout, and has served as an EMT. Although being an EMT was emotionally and physically taxing, she said it’s given her an experience she “wouldn’t trade for anything.”

Cory Rust

As a member of the Junior Council, Cory has volunteered countless hours for The Brooke Healey Foundation. He plans to bring his service ethic with him to college, both on campus and within the local community, by either joining a cancer awareness club or starting one of his own.

Paige Travers

Pagie has been heavily involved in the Brooke Healey foundation since middle school, demonstrating, through volunteering and mentoring others, that we can all make a difference in the fight against cancer.  She is a compassionate leader with a clear focus on helping to spread awareness about DIPG while at the same time organizing projects that bring joy and cheer directly to hospitalized children.  She made a positive impact in the lives of those affected as well as their families.

Cecilia was a volunteer in many groups throughout middle school and high school including the Somerville High School Peer to Peer group and the Student Movement Against Cancer.

SUMMIT HIGH SCHOOL

Kate Petrella

Kate has served the Summit community as a junior member of the Summit Emergency Medical Squad. Her EMS experience and time spent in the hospital emergency room has led to a career choice. She will be pursuing a degree in nursing.
