Julia Flood

Julia is a compassionate leader whose service focuses on helping children — especially those in the foster care system. She’s a Girls on the Run junior coach, where she runs with and discusses personal empowerment with fourth and fifth-grade girls twice a week.

Along with her family, she’s participated in the Fresh Air Fund, which influenced her to become an intern at Miriam's Heart, a New Jersey-based non-profit organization that radically supports children who have been adopted or placed in foster care.

She’s extended this dedication in school, starting a club called Fostering Care whose mission is to raise money and awareness for children in foster care. Her group works closely with Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Union County.  She has truly made a positive impact in the lives of those she volunteers to help.
